Today's international financial world represents a high tech branch of the economy that is rapidly evolving. Increasingly demanding
financial products and an ever stronger international interconnectedness of corporations and economies has led to a high degree of complexity
of the economic and financial structures. The 2007–2009 financial crisis has illustrated the resulting risks in an impressive way.
This conference seeks to bring together researchers and practitioners in economics and mathematics in order to foster discussions that
can contribute to a better understanding of the dependence structures in financial markets, the sources of market failure, and appropriate methods
for the regulation of financial markets to ensure long-term stability of the financial system.
